Hurdles in completing web 2.0 tasks

I have noticed while trying to complete FLE tasks at school some areas of consideration when planning for these activities. The main problem I have come up against is being unable to download/open websites or sign up to various features, all because of filters and blocks. I know that this can be overcome, however access is definitley a consideration when planning these tasks for students to use.
I have had a bit of fun trying to go through all the activities that people have posted and will try to complete a few more today and tomorrow.

Chris, I know what you mean - I find myself getting frustrated trying to do much of this at work. I have asked our IT dept. to give me administrative rights (they did so, but unwillingly) so I could access and download - however the firewall at work prevents many activities, so I end up doing it at night, at home ... it's then often a 'fight' with my 3 teenage sons over whose turn it is to use the internet ... Ah well! Someone said life wasn't meant to be easy.

Oh, btw, a new request to our IT dept. has been made to include Audacity and PhotoStory in our available software in the labs. - here's hoping - then our students will have the option of using it for assessment tasks too!

Sorry Chris, someone has deleted the task instructions which were embedded in the wiki. I'd say that this is an issue with using wiki's.
