I have noticed while trying to complete FLE tasks at school some areas of consideration when planning for these activities. The main problem I have come up against is being unable to download/open websites or sign up to various features, all because of filters and blocks. I know that this can be overcome, however access is definitley a consideration when planning these tasks for students to use.
I have had a bit of fun trying to go through all the activities that people have posted and will try to complete a few more today and tomorrow.

My favourite recipe
I have completed most of Michael's recipe task, however have hit a hurdle in that I don't have a gmail account so cant create a google page. No worries you can check out my slideshow of my favourite recipe here...
My Favourite Recipe
In terms of history this recipe was developed in the late 1870's by an italian immigrant in Melbourne known simple as "The Chicken Man". He created his taste sensation and originally called it crumbed chicken covered in ham, tomato sauce, cheese and then grilled... understandably this name did not take off and the recipe was forgotten until during WWI when a Nicaraguan refugee discovered The Chicken Man's writing. He began serving this dish in All Nations Hotel in Richmond where he worked. His marketing genius showed when he named the dish after his girlfriend "Pamela". However the Richmond locals understand his accented speech as saying Chicken Parma, and hence we have enjoyed a Parma and a Pot ever since.

Assignment up
After investigating some options Sean and I have finally got our acts together and put up our assignment for others to have a look at.
All class members should have received an email notification that allows them access to the wiki and the password is in the subject disscussion if required.
The idea is that a group will work together to create a wiki on a topic that allows them to publish online while working remotely if need be. It is possible to limit the editing access to those invited to the group, however in this incarnation I am not too worried about paying the extra USD$10 a month. I can see that this may be a problem if students have their work edited away by others in the class or anywhere else in the world.
It is intended that this task could be used for publication of any task for any subject. Students need to work collaboratively in order to design their wiki and construct navigation etc.
We are hoping that this format is easy enough to follow, and could easily be undertaken by students particularly with a lesson or two on setting up and creating/editing the wiki.
Please have a look and contribute
Thanks

Absence and continued frustration
It's been too long. I am not sure what it is about the equipment that I am using, but still have immense trouble accessing any of the links etc. from the subject area of the Flexible Learning Environment page. I tried today to have a go at the task prepared by Catherine, David and Joanne. No such luck. I will try again later and should have Sean and my task up by the end of the day.
